I’m Barry, the Studio Director and Principal Teacher. My mission is simple: I want you to walk out of our studio feeling amazing—or, at the very least, better than when you walked in.
My journey started differently than most. I was a total exercise-phobe. My early memories of PE were filled with dread, and by my late twenties, I was sedentary, struggling with my mental health, and habits I knew weren't serving me. Then a friend asked me to join a Pilates class.
After that first hour, I walked home feeling lighter, taller, and freer. It was the only hour of the week I’d done something truly positive for myself. It broke the dam of self-care. Though I was "terrible" at first, Pilates taught me to nurture myself as much as it taught me to plank. It helped me find balance—not just on one leg, but in my life.
Since qualifying in 2007 with Modern Pilates, I’ve trained with Polestar and certified with Balanced Body, even guest-teaching for a professional football club in Sweden. If the guy who couldn't touch his toes can run workshops for ballet dancers, imagine what Pilates can do for you.

Meg fell in love with Pilates as a comprehensive system, working across mat and the apparatus, and was inspired to train as an instructor after seeing the changes Pilates made to her life. She believes it can be radically transformative as a movement method, benefitting mind and body. She is passionate about how the reformer makes movement accessible to all and believes Pilates is for every body. She is also currently training to be a Moving Fascia Teacher.

FAQ’S
-
The reformer is a fantastic and versatile tool. It uses high tensile steel springs as resistance. The springs can also be arranged to assist you and make the exercises easier. Exercise can be performed standing and lying down. This means we have an enormous spectrum for ranes of ability.
Perhaps you need to lie flat to simply decompress your spine and hips after a long day at the desk? Or maybe you need to work on the hypertrophy of your gluteal muscles? The Pilates reformer is versatile enough to cater to your expectations.
-
Only if you are consuming illegal performance enhancing drugs, which we do not endorse.
-
Absolutely not. Come as you are, tight hamstrings, wobbly balance and all. Reformer Pilates meets you where you are and helps you level up.
-
Yes! With guidance, it’s one of the best low-impact options for recovery, joint support, and injury prevention. Just give me a head up with what’s going on.
-
The reformer adds resistance and support, making some moves easier and others way spicier.
Bonus: You don’t have to lie on the floor the whole time.
-
There’s a good chance you’ll discover muscles you didn’t know existed. But it’s the good kind of sore, the ‘I’m stronger already’ kind.
-
Think: comfy, fitted workout clothes. Avoid anything too loose (it can get caught in the springs). Grip socks are usually required, bonus points if they’re cute.
-
It’s a magical mix of strength, flexibility, coordination, and sometimes a little cardio. Your heart rate may go up, your muscles will shake, and your brain will feel focused.

Joseph Pilates said it best:
“In 10 sessions, you'll feel the difference. In 20, you'll see the difference. In 30, you'll have a whole new body.”
-
Yes, unless you want to play reformer roulette (spoiler: it's usually full). Book online, show up, and let the springs do their thing.
